Our Problems Help Us Find What Stops Us From Flying…

Supporting Individuals, Couples and Fathers through evidence-based psychological therapy.

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist working in Carlton North, Victoria

I support people from diverse walks of life and cultural backgrounds. I offer a grounded and compassionate approach to therapy, aiming to create a space with my clients in which they can explore their own complexities, piece together their own narratives, and directly address their problems. I support people facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem, and problems at work.

I work with adults and couples, and I have a particular interest in helping young fathers navigate the complexities of fatherhood.

Individual Therapy

Building a solid therapeutic alliance with you is key to making therapy seem supportive and useful.

We can do this by carefully clarifying what it is you are seeking support for, and agreeing on a course of treatment together.

Often people seek therapy because of overwhelming “symptoms” in their lives, such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or lack of direction in life. Together we can unpack what these symptoms are pointing towards - often bigger picture issues such as self-esteem, self-concept, or a difficulty connecting with emotion.

Together, we'll untangle complexities, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies for your journey forward.

Couples Counselling

One of the most challenging things in life is to make an intimate relationship work in a way where we feel connected, respected and fully alive to ourselves.

Our partners can hold up a “mirror” to us that brings us into contact with some of our most deep seated insecurities and fears when it comes to being loved and cared for. Couples counselling provides a unique opportunity to look at our own experiences of intimacy and the “intimacy roadmaps” that we bring into any relationship. It is an opportunity to learn about our own needs, how to express them, and how to appreciate the ways in which our partner is different to us.

I work with couples to help them create enough space in their relationship for differences to exist and needs to be expressed and met.

Working with New Fathers

Welcoming children into our lives is one of the most amazing yet one of the most challenging experiences we can go through, particularly early on in our parenting journey.

We experience immense changes within our family, and adapt our priorities in a whole new way. We gain so much from our beautiful little ones, yet sometimes feel as if we have lost some things too - time, energy, capacity to reflect and take stock of life.

Additionally, our relationship with our partner can also come under additional stress. Such feelings and experiences are normal as we adjust to being parents.

Taking time to reflect on how we are feeling during this time and seeking support through speaking to a psychologist can be a good way to make sense of the great adjustment.

I will provide a supportive space for you to explore where you are at in your fathering journey and provide practical advice where appropriate.
